Autodesk SketchBookPro is a professional drawing and painting application for digitized pen tablets and tablet PCs that differs a little bit from other artistic programs but it is really simple and easy to use. Although it includes basic artistic options (like pens, pencils, markers, brushes, smear tools and erasers), it doesn't include filters or effects, or options for creating textured surfaces or basic shapes. The user interface is very pretty and is extremely easy to use, which is a good point for beginners and it features unique gesture-based marking menus that are not present in any other application of the type. The program is not really customizable, but it supports layers and image sizes up to 8000x8000 pixels, has email integration and undo/redo option. Other features include the ability to rotate the image, crop selection, mirror or flip canvas/layer and symmetry customization. The price is another drawback, since you can get similar programs for less money or free that may include even more features.
